Yes, it still takes a couple of weeks to heal don't worry the belly button doesn't look that great but it will heal. I just gently used the little alcohol pads, they seemed to work fine. You can used peroxide on a cotton ball that should do the trick also.

Yes it is very normal to have dried blood on it and to clean them I always used alcohol pads and no they don't hurt or burn your baby! I am a mother of 4 and #5 is on the way so i have a little experience here:)

A bit of dried blood is normal but any fresh red blood should be reported to the pedi immediately.
Also, clean it with pure rubbing alcohol.

My wife is a midwife with approximately 35 years experience. She says that dry blood is normal but do not use peroxide. Use water only.

Yes I'm pretty sure it's normal. Sounds like you know what to do, you can dilute peroxide to clean with.

yes. dab it with a cotton ball with rubbing alcohol on it. It should look some better within a few of days. If you see anything strange go to the Dr. my son had umbilical granuloma, it looked like a big ball on snot in his belly button (gross, huh?)

it is perfectly normal and you should clean it with acohol wipes like what the hospital should of gave you or with liquid and a q-tip clean it every other time when changing the babies diaper. That is what my child's doctor told me to do.
