This has been a dream of mine for a very long time. Although I want to gear it more so to Christian teens, all teens are welcome. The reason I wanted it to be for Christian teens is so they can have a place where they can go and hang out and have fun with friends in a safe and Christian enviorment, grab a lite snack, get some coffee or whatever, and maybe see local christian bands on the weekends. I want to serve our teens with the love of God.

I don't know about the rest of the world but I know my friends and I would LOVE to have a place like that in our area. So, I imagine there are at least some other people out there who would enjoy it, too!

Depends on where you put it. Find a place where there is a lot of home-schooling going on, religious schools, communities with thriving church populations. Also, learn from the successful coffee houses and book stores and see what they do. You can promote your business through any Christian churches in the area, many of which will have youth groups. It will be hard work, but I think what you are doing is a very positive thing for the world. Good luck.

There is always room for more Christianity in the world. If there where more places for us to go, like your bookstore/cafe, it would be packed. These types of businesses are the ones that thrive the best. You just have to make sure that it is going to be in a good area/location. Good luck in your success!

There's definitely a market. Pound the pavement. The good news is that Christians are a close-knit group that really help each other out. If they know you are there, you will succeed. Build and nurture those relationships constantly.

That sounds so cool and I'm sure it would be a big hit
everywhere. And not for just teens. I wonder why
no one has done a Christian bookstore/cafe for
adults? You could also have poetry nights & book review
nights.

Yes there is, and if you work with some local churchs they might help you out, in Minneapolis there is a very popular christian night club http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/4710900/site/newsweek/

Good luck and god bless!

Sure I've seen at least one or two in every town I've lived. So there is a precedent, and it does work. Good luck, I hope you have success.

Oh, yeah! Lots of people do well with Christian-themed shops; I see those all of the time. If you decide to pursue this, God bless it! :)

I'd think there would be a market.

Prepare a solid business plan as a first step in planning.

Good luck.

Don't try to setup one in a Muslim or Jewish neighborhood.
