If they are swarming in your yard, they will eventually find your house. Keep in mind, the inspection you had really only checked about 15% of your home. It is impossible to see under the foundation, inside walls, under floor coverings etc. I used to work as an exterminator in Texas. There are 2 kinds of houses in the south, those that have been treated for termites, and those that will be treated for termites.
Your home is the biggest investment of your life. Home owners insurance will NOT cover termite damage. The only real choice is do it now and prevent damage, or do it later and repair damage.

this is exciting that 'Raul' chosen to repeat an beforehand answer of mine, inclusive of the spelling mistake! this is DIY no longer DIT. Please write your very own solutions Raul. the quick answer to this question isn't any. In lots an identical way as DIY dentistry may be uncomfortable and fee you an excellent style of funds in the long rung. it extremely is amazingly undemanding to think of you have mounted them termite challenge whilst all you have performed is rigidity the termites faraway from the actually reached places, meaning that the wear keeps yet you do no longer understand approximately it. There are some circumstances the place the respond is definite, yet to understand if this is genuine for you, you will have a powerfuble wood pest inspector do a radical inspection and supply you a written rfile (which you will take time to understand). sturdy success

the best thing you could do to keep your house termite free and apperently its the reason you don't have any is, keep your house dry. termites need water too and wet wood is much softer/easier to munch. This is an important tip for any home owner...water is your enimie on all fronts! It comes from the ground, wicks through cement or bricks, it comes from up, left, right, from everywhere. Check you house top to bottom for wet wood or signs of old water stains and make sure all water penetrations are sealed. Termites are always there, it all depends on if you put out the buffet sign which desides if they eat your house or your neighbors. ps don't keep rotting or wet wood stored close to your house. Old log piles or rotten decks ect. can draw them closer.

I don't think so. I think you have to ensure that there is no wood to soil contact with your house.
I just didn't think termites swarmed. That is news to me, as they are little albino-type critters that avoid the light. Perhaps I don't know enough about their life cycle. But, where I live in Canada, you just don't see them unless you find their trails or nests.

If they are swwarming you need to exterminate them. Maybe there is a do it yourself method, try doing a search on this.
