do you think the united states should be taking legal action of some sort against china for all of this??? holding them responsible instead of menu foods?? or should menu foods get just as much blame for not checking well enough??? also... do you think these products that are affected are going to lose sales?? there were so many foods involved this time, do you think they all will suffer a loss in sales or do you think people will still buy them???

These products have already lost sales. I think they should cut all their ingredients from China and get them from better regulated (and more expensive) European or American companies. I have no problem paying the extra buck but I won't touch any of those products that refuse to cut China from their list. Buying food directly from China is about as safe as buying water directly from Mexico. No wonder China's economy is booming. They cut every corner they can to make a buck at the expense of others.

I think it would be impossible to hold China legally responsible and not too bright on the part of the U.S. China is not going to take responsibility for poisoning dog food. It would be foolish to risk iternational relations and trade with China over recalled pet food. China as a whole country certainly cannot be blamed, maybe the particular seller/company.

I'm not saying that the deaths of many animals is not a big deal, just not in the big picture(as unfortunate as that is). In the U.S and some other countries, we treat or pets are family members, but other countries do not, and even consume dog meat. To them[China], it is just a dog.

Sales are already beginning to decline, some people are afraid to buy any food from those companies, and even other companies because of the recall.

They found 3 more chemicals in the food
Cyanuric Acid
Amilorine-Amiloride
The story is in howl 911.com and pet connection.com
Anyone that has feed their hog the recalled cat food has been told that they can't sell their hogs of human food.
I hope they do take legal action because the people are at risk also.

The chinese company is embargoed already - they cant ship anymore to the US. Now other chinese companies can, but put it this way I doubt menu foods survives this without going bankrupt. If you think every other food company in the US isnt looking real hard at their own dealings with china -- they are fools.

They imported the fabric from China, they manufacture it right here and in Canada. The chinese language might have been including the melamine in an attempt to make the glutens try bigger in protein than they might in any different case, and hence the value may be bigger. Its no longer the individuals fault in this as there seems to be a extra elementary greed on the area of the chinese language corporation to get additional money. whilst the individuals tried to get in to income the providers warehouse and equipment, no letter grow to be despatched by using the chinese language permitting that, and that's the 1st step to having inspections there.

We should hold both where thecontamintaion came from and the companies who lack the sense to double check their product for safety! Im kinda hoping that people will realize that 99.9% of the recalled products are not that great to be feeding to pets anyways! They all contain unnessary ingrediants that do more harm than good. Eagle Pack was safe and will be safe, its Holistic and everything is monitored and grown in the US except some meat, but they dont hide this, and they dont get it from China.....
eaglepack.com--check them out, it will be worth your while and it will reassure you that it wont be recalled

Your pets are part of your family why not treat them that way.
If you can take the time to cook your family a dinner why not your pet as well.
I cook my own pet all his meals
Make sure when cooking for a pet not to add spices.
Plus it's a money saver as well
