I find it disgusting....I have done tons of research on abortion...watched horrible videos,...seen horrible pictures...all for a research project...and I gave a speech against it to a group of women...In the beginning I had some boos, but when I got to the point of describing in detail just what occured the whole room was quiet and alert...some women even cried.........
second and third trimester abortions are just the worst most inhumane thing in this world if you ask me...I dont believe in first trimester ones either,....but the further along ones are just so heart wrenching....
this is a rather simple site...but I love what they stand for and the information they give the public:
http://www.priestsforlife.org/
also: those people that dont know what is done during a second or third trimester abortion have no right to claim that its the womens choice...thats a bunch of BS in my opinion...you have to know what is occuring before you can agree one way or the other
on another note....a baby that is just a few weeks after conception looks so human already...anyone considering an abortion should go look at the photos of aborted babies during the early weeks...they are so formed, so human...dont say they are not alive or their life has not begun..they move they grow...to me that is ALIVE and their life has most definetly begun
another good site:
www.standupgirl.com
it has lots of first hand accounts of girls that actually got abortions and the aftermath of their decision...I havent read one that doesnt regret what she did
A LITTLE EXTRA TIDBIT OF INFORMATION....THE WOMAN WHO ORIGINALLY BROUGHT UP THE ROW VS WADE CASE..."ROE" aka Norma McCorvey IS NOW AN ANTI-ABORTION ACTIVIST .....SHE HAS DONE A COMPLETE 180 ON HER BELIEFS

I am pro-choice, but I do feel that late term abortions like that shouldn't be allowed unless in the most dire of circumstances. *which I cannot think of any situation that is that dire that couldn't be identified earlier* Which would NOT include rape, incest, or getting pregnant at a young age, since a women would/should know about the pregnancy with enough time to fall under that second/third trimester mark.
I cannot imagine a point at which the circumstances that would bring about an abortion wouldn't be known until the third trimester. Even if the mothers life was in danger, the child could likely be born a bit early through c-section if necessary.
I guess alot of pro-choicers feel that this is a blow against Roe v Wade, and that this will limit a woman's right to obtain abortions. I feel differently, it actually in my mind sort of reinforces a woman's right to an abortion because if you are making rules about HOW a woman can obtain an abortion, you by definition have said, yes she can have one, there are just stipulations.
And I don't think it outlawed ALL late term abortions, just this particular method of late term abortion.
Though I could be wrong, and this could be the first step in eliminating abortions all together. Only time will tell.

People, this isn't about abortion in a general sense, it's a specific KIND. Partial birth abortions. Partial birth abortions are horrifying. I don't care who you are or what your stance is on abortions. I've read testimony from nurses who've assisted in partial birth abortions, and its not pretty. They themselves were horrified at what they witnessed. That had a huge impact on me.
The argument that they should be allowed when medically necessary doesn't hold much water. A lot of times the baby is developed enough to survive outside the womb. Or, if it isn't, the woman can usually wait the few weeks until it can.
The argument for rape: if you haven't made the decision to terminate by the end of your first trimester, you've missed your chance.
The very idea that they deliver everything but the head then kill it, is savage. If the head were to slip out, OOOPS!!! Magically a baby, can't finish the procedure. They'd have to have a peditrician on hand, just in case the baby is actually BORN. That is usually the law for any late term abortion anyway.

I would hope and pray that all abortion would be ban, so obviously for partial birth abortion, I am thankful for the ruling. I read somewhere yesterday that people think it should not have been banned due to the fact that it is "the safest type of abortion for the woman". What a selfish way to look at this horrible issue. Of course it would be the safest for them due to fact that they have to deliver to baby except for the head so the abortion is not done inside the woman's body- however for the baby, who could be delivered and live at that stage, would not feel pain? WRONG and also would lose their life. Women say they have a choice to do what they want with their bodies- what about that baby?

I agree with you also. In my religion it is a sin to have an abortion unless the mother is in danger of losing her life if she continues with the pregnancy. Even if the woman is raped she is forbidden from getting an abortion. It should be the same way in the USA. And killing at a viable stage is just stupid.

I think that facts are the best way to make a law.
There is no FACT to when life begins. Is it at conception [pro-life] or birth [pro-choice]?
Until scientists prove that life does start at conception I don't feel there is any reason to ban it. There is no reason to make a law out of morals or theories. To me, it's just not logical.
My personal stance is that it's morally wrong. I don't believe in abortion--just the choice. Regardless of my own beliefs it's not right to base a law on a belief when so many people are different and think differently then you and I do. I have also taken a whole elective college course on abortions. I don't like how they do it, the outcome, and the effects it has on women. Does that make it right just because I don't believe in it to make Susie unable to do what she wants? I don't think so...

I encourage them. If the mother cannot raise the child properly then she shouldn't keep it. And I know people argue that the unborn child could be the person that develops a cure for cancer or something but so could the mother that is forced to drop out of school to look after a child she never wanted. Also, you may be killing a living thing but so is crushing a bug or picking flowers and sometimes mothers die during labour.

I think there are some valid reasons for abortion, to make such a generalisation that they are selfish, horrible murderers is wrong and narrowminded. For some women I'd agree wholeheartedly with you. But for others it can be the best possible course of action - for instance if it is to prevent their own (the mothers) death - especially if she has other children to consider, if their unborn child has been diagnosed with, say, a painful and incurable disease that would mean their quality of life is practically nil and so on.

i am with you. i feel that unless you are raped that if you decide to have sex and get pregnant then that is something that you should have to live with. i find that an abortion is a cop-out and should not be legal at any stage. there are so many other options in this world other than murder and anyone who gets one should be punished. it is a shame that we have good families that would love a child and cant have one, then you have the sluts who have sex with everyone with a dick and then kill the baby. what a shame!

i am of the opinion that before the third month, do whatever you want to, however, after that time, i don't think it is right unless there is really something wrong that an abortion is the only way to save the mother's life.
