I managed to knock myself unconscious once. It tokk a few minutes for the pain to register and for me to realise I was covered in blood :-(

Yes...when I was 19, I nearly lost my left index finger in a logging accident. There was no pain, and nearly no blood, which at first led me to think that it was a very superficial cut, but in reality the bone was what stopped the blade and saved my finger. However, as with many wounds, shock did set in, on the way to the ER. The really odd part was recognizing in myself what I had been trained to recognize in others just prior to the accident.

I had an accident once and the seatbelt injured me in the chest and I really didn't feel it much until the next day.
