The whole nation is trying to catch up with Japan and Europe's education systems, as we are way behind. The "pollution" of work as you call it isn't just from the teachers or administration. They are carrying out "orders" from the state and federal governments. Failing schools loose tax dollars. Parent groups at the local level are asking for accountability from schools and it all filters down to the students.
You will enter the work force where 50 or more people will be competing for a job. How are you gonna stand out? We are becoming a competitive world and schools are trying to prepare kids for that competition.

Lots of teachers miss time at school, but its like any other job. Sooner or later you will run out of sick days and then you won't get paid. Most teachers like to save up sick days in case of an emergency!

I think you are asking why teachers try to keep you busy at all times. It is very simple. The more you have to focus on what the teacher is having you do, the less time you have to focus on things that might get you into trouble.

They are extremely healthy or they get sick during vacations....that's what a teacher is paid to do , make you work . I'd start on spelling and grammar if I were you.
