I am 15 and my period has always been normal but now it is 3 weeks late and i am worried. I am not sexually active so i know i'm not pregnant. I don't know if any of this is related but I have also been feeling really nauseous, haven't been sleeping well, losing alot of hair (sometimes in small chunks), get very dizzy for no apperent reason, and have been sweating alot when i sleep. I don't really know who to talk to about this because i am on an exchange and don't really feel comfortable asking my correspondant or her family.

You really should see a doctor.

If you don't feel comfortable talking to your host family because of your period being late, you could instead broach the subject by saing that you haven't been sleeping well, have been getting quite dizzy, and have been losing large amount of hair, and that you are quite worried about that. Those things without your period's lateness and the nausea are definitely worth seeing a doctor about, and I'm sure your host family should be willing to oblige..?

You really should see a doctor. Let you correspondent know about the other problems (not the late period). Just those other symptoms alone are signs you need to see a doctor. In fact, the late period could be from the stress of the other problems you are having.

They are all signs of a pregnancy, now with you being so late I strongly recommend to go and see your doctor. Because if it turns out that you are not pregnant, he/she may want to do some further tests to find anexplanationn on your absent cycle. But Don't panic yet everything may be fine. Hope you find the answer you want but if you don't talk to your doc about your options(that is if you are pregos). I have said that even though I don't believe in aborting, but hay there are other opions out there these days. GOOD LUCK LUV.

All of those symtoms are signs of severe stress. Talk to your school psycologist about methods for relaxation and about how to best broach the subject with your host family. In the meantime, try the tips here:

You should confide in your correspondant. She is responsible for your welfare. You need to a see a doctor. It could just be ahormonal imbalance of some sort, but it needs to be checked out.

Maybe its because of your hormones, get it checked. My cousin lost alot of hair and she had a very bad temper when she had the same problem. You have to check it up with a doctor.

Stress can cause you to skip a period.
