Book adventure is a good resource and you can even earn points toward prizes as you read and take quizzes.

Reading Org is the website of the International Reading Organization, a premiere professional organization for teachers. They have "Choices" lists, which are done by reading skill not be grade level. Top quality literature.

Scholastic also has book lists by grade levels.

Finally, check with your local library. They usually have reading lists for over the summer, with special events and activities for the kids!

and many more that will appear under Google "homeschool curriculum"

ALl those are Christian organisations that sell books to homeschoolers. Look at their catalogue and you will find English Literature and the books for 2007/8 will be listed. Those books will be highly recommended. Just get the pages for 5-6th grades.
