It takes 25.38 days to complete 1 rotation.

Yes, the Sun does rotate on its axis once in about 27 days, with the equatorial regions rotating a bit faster than the polar regions, 24 days vs. 30 days in estimates!! The sun's axis is tilted at 7.25 degrees in relation to earth's planar orbit around the sun. It rotates in a counter-clockwise direction when viewed from the top (in relation to Earth's North and South poles.) The sun's rotation was confirmed by observing the sun spots.
