I see some people know nothing about doom metal....
Cradle of Filth is black gothic and Slipknot is hardcore

CRADLE OF FILTH rock... their music is just great with some of the best lyrics and instruments EVER and they were formed the year i was born in the same country yay : )

You idiots dont even know what Doom Metal is. Slipknot is not Doom Metal. Neither is Cradle Of Filth which more along the lines of black metal.
But as for me, I like Anathema just becuz.

i'm not likely into organic Doom, mixed genres are greater useful, like Draconian - my widely used wthout a doubt BQ : Katationia - i like Dance of December Souls Candlemass is tremendously intense high quality if we are conversing with regard to the previous sound

For me it is between Anthrax and Megadeth. But considering that doom and deaf metal doesn't exactly let you here the words they're singing, it kinda gets boring. I like Megadeth and Anthrax because it mixes doom metal, but also allows you to listen to the words they're singing.

Doom metal is the hardest sub-genre of metal for me to find. I really like Candlemass, so I guess they're my favorite. They have really awesome riffs that give off that creepy kind of atmosphere. Messiah Marcolin (and earlier Johann Langquist) have great operatic voices that really add to the atmosphere as well.
