Well, it's certainly not Black Xmas that's now available at Block Buster. The new movie called The Reaping with Hillary Swank is supposed to be bad, too. I liked all three of the Saw movies and The Descent, except for the very end. Silence of the Lamb is a good one but The Exorcist is a classic. I remember when it was first released into theaters. Many theater owners had a nurse on hand just in case someone should faint. :) Honest!

I believe the best movie ever made is A Hard Day's Night. Definitely not a horror movie, though. ;)

Among the Horror recent movies you could try these:
1)Silent Hill
2)The Hills Have Eyes
My favourite one is Silent Hill. The film is well made. Didn't like the ending though.

My favorite is "Dangerous Seductress" (1992, Indonesia) with sexy Amy Weber as a witch executed 1000 years ago who is revived when a robber's car wrecks in a cemetery and blood seeps into her grave. We see organs and veins regenerating and then muscles and skin. There isn't enough blood to finish the job, so her right arm and left leg are still just bone. A dog grabs her leg bone. She tears it apart and finishes regenerating with its blood. A spell is on her, so that hands hold her to her grave, but she can appear in mirrors. She possesses Tanya Offer(or Lawson) and sends her out to pick up men at bars and tear them apart to bring their blood to Amy.

If you are religious, the classic "The Exorcist" would be the most disturbing. I just blood, guts and gore with psychological entrapment are you horror genre then "Hostel" or "Rest Stop" would be more to your liking.
