There both social effects of a global social problem that causes them. Never a good idea to use an effect to compare to another effect, when working with cause and effect arguements, of course it does restate your concern. Would of been nice if you would of said something more about the cause, because it isn't rap music. But since humans could sing kiddos have been singing songs were they really wouldn't have a clue to what all its meanings are. How do we know they just don't like the way it sounds? Also it takes prior knowledge in order to really understand that song anyways. Now just giving a kid drugs is a much, much bigger effect then singing tasteless rap songs. Cause of course is an healthy perception on drug use. We can't deny drugs to our society, just ask the ATF or the DEA, and of course your local law enforcement. So instead of teach much more health drug using habits. Society propetiates the ignorance by hoping that talking drugs down well deter people away... which is alot like telling a kid, don't grow up and learn about the world because I don't think your grown enough to handle it. Which all parents know is the worse thing to tell their kids. So we've got a couple generations of people out there that have a better understanding of drugs then the government pretends to have. This, on top of hurting citizens confidence in there govenerment, cause many, many misconceptions on how durgs should be used. So we have this mess..... rap artist capitalizing on a modern version of prohibition, and parents treating drug use too lightly.... looks like the war on drugs was more a war on morality, and a sad attempt at social control... So inorder to keep up the illiusion that drugs are not a necassary evil towards personal development we do everything in our power to paint it as weakness, stupidity, and a complete lack of self-control. Which makes happenings like that seem like a good example of why we need a war on drugs.... and the cicle continues.... roll it up, light it up, smoke it up, inhale, exhale....
