Since the building blocks of life can appear at random throughout the universe can this also happen to other substances (a planet with a chocolate sea perhaps).

do u mean that like we have elements carbon, sulphur, etc. these other planets would have an element 'chocolate' and many of these atoms joint together would give chocolate icecream.

i sure hope this was possible. but all elements are the same throughout the universe and scietists believe that we have already found all the elements naturally found in the universe.

It is possible, but extremely unlikely due to the thermodynamic concept of entropy. The universe tends to become more disorderly with time, so unless something was on that planet to actively make ice cream, the random assemblage of a highly ordered substance is unlikely.

Since chocolate ice cream is manufactured and not part of the ecosystem, I doubt it.

Oh, I hope so! I would think they'd have to have cows, sugar cane, and cacao trees too, though.
