- You cricket fans
- Mixing cricket with politics
- No grit/killer instinct/determination with players
- Irfan pathan not included in the playing X1

I can single out 1 reason which nobody has mentioned about it anywhere.

Pathan was out of form...Had he been in the side (in good form, read below), he would have knocked off few wickets against bangla, and then tormented their bowling to get some extra runs..both would have helped india immensely..afterall, it was batting that led india down..

how pathan should have been brought into form?? Why no one including pathan himself didnt think about it??

he is quite close to Wasim akram..so why didnt he seek his help almost 1 year ago??? Had he took his help, then during the next 6 months or so..he should have come back into some kind of form so as to atleast retain his place in the playing X1....but he didnt do that..?? akram publicly said, pathan didnt approach him for help during his bad days?? why??

The team is responsible for bad performance in the match.

The BCCI is responsible for all round bad performance.

But the team can still do well, exept that the supporters all turn against them if they fail even once. The supporters are not at all supportive when the team fails, and that bring the morale down.

Partly the cricket fans fault too.

It was because of the batsmen and Dhonis captaincy. Only Yuvraj consistently scored runs and at a good rate. India is still way to reliant on the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Sehwag. Dhonis captaincy throughout the whole tournament has been bad, as he has regulary kept on chopping and changing the batting order, which were some of the main reasons for indias three consecutive losses.

It is just the TEAM. But responsibility of losing should go to Captain... Rahul totally lacks the Captain ship quality.Selection of Playing -11 was not good, reading pitch condition or shuffling the bowlers.
Moreover.. Indian Team was not grouped as a TEAM.No aggression in team or eagerness.. whatever the reason... that's why they are out of WC.

The pathetic performance of India in the world cup was due to utter failure of batsmen and bowlers to perform to their potential.
