Wow, I was gonna say Passion of the Christ before I even clicked on your question. Yes, that movie was very powerful and I too cried like a baby. That was the only movie that made me cry that hard.

The Pursuit of Happyness, The Passion of the Christ, A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, Out of Africa...I'd say those are classic crying films.

Passion of Christ, of course.. Thelma and Louise... pursuit of happiness....titanic.... ( i can watch the end of titanic and just start balling)..... there was an old movie with Jada Pinkett and some other guys called Return to Paradise.

((( Three young men meet up in Malaysia and have such a ball that it's only a matter of time before fate intervenes. Sheriff (Vince Vaughn) and Tony (David Conrad) fly back to New York, leaving behind the sweetly spaced-out Lewis (Joaquin Phoenix) and, more important, a stash of hash. Two years later, Sheriff learns that Lewis was arrested in possession of the drugs and sentenced to death; only if the other two return to Malaysia and share the sentence-three years each in a hellhole-will their friend be allowed to live. ))

Omgosh what would you do.

The first time I watched Schindler's List, I cried. It is the most disturbing film I've ever seen.

Passion of Christ was bothersome for me. I saw it in the theatre and was compelled to see it again when it came out on video. I rented the film but could not bring myself to watch it, so I returned it after 3 days unseen.

Titanic brought tears to my eyes, because I had never considered how terrible it was for the people who couldn't get off the ship. The idea of the poor being lost, while the rich were saved, broke my heart. When I saw that ship rise up in the air, with those people screaming for their lives, I was devestated. Then, when DeCapprio was holding on to that piece of wood, and the girl tried to awaken him when she heard the rescuers--and he fell away and disappeared in the water, I was done. I saw that movie 3 times. Also bought the video and watched it 100 times.

Another film that got me was Philadelphia, with Tom Hanks and Denzel. I saw that movie twice and cried each time, because I thought it was so careless of this intelligent man to have sex with a stranger in a movie theatre, when he had a loving partner at home. It was such a foolish thing to do, and it cost him his life. The scene with him and Denzel (after the halloween party), with Maria Callas' singing in the background, Hank's character bearing his soul, and Denzel's character almost in tears, was abolutely stunning. Please, don't get me started!
