Well, if EVERY star could earn 10 points, they would mean alot more....=) That's my idea as I think that really GOOD ?'s should get extra points just as BEST ANSWERS do....=)
I think every answer should get 5 points & BEST ANSWERS should get 10 pts for every astrick given by the asker....but I'm not sure that Yahoo will go for it=)
You d o mean the stars on yahoo answers, right...that's what
I first thought when I saw the question actually....but.....If you meant actual STARS in the universe, please kindly disregard this answer....You will have to ask God why He chose to create stars....and planets....and moons....in His universe!!! =)

We used the pole star and other data in plotting courses for sailing in an astronomy class I took at university...That's good. It worked for centuries and still does although they probably rely on GPS systems now.

They were invented by The Great Chiropractor, to get people to exercise their necks at night.
But I have a sneaking suspicion that they were put up so hig so that we'd crick our necks, and have to go to a chiropractor to fix them.

the ones here are useless and worthless they do NOT give you points (we have a watchlist to 'track' questions). the ones in the sky are beautiful & sparkly.
