I would bring a paintball gun or some other non-lethal device and just pelt 'em until they cried. I doubt the cops would be quick to interfere.

Read an interesting article last night stating that the freedom of speech clause in the Bill of Rights was intended to protect speaking out against the government. It was not meant to protect hate speech or defamatory speech or be an absolute right to speech of any kind, especially in cases like this. The interpretation of that clause by mostly liberal courts to include nearly all speech is in conflict with the intent of the framers of the Constitution.
Made a lot of sense.

It is right and proper that the protest happens as it is a right and I will not fight against that right. The use of terrible events for media propagation of beliefs is an honorable pursuit and has been part of American life for generations. One example is that after the Columbine massacre Dick Ghephart (Dem Speaker of the House) went to Columbine not to offer comfort but to use the tragedy to push his agenda against the Constitution and attack the second amendment's right for Americans to keep and bear arms. Yet this Liberal ghoulish politician escaped criticism.
Let the protest happen and be glad we have that right to do so.

I am from Kansas, and the Phelps family makes me want to vomit. It makes me sick to think my state, my home, my everything of little Kansas is being demolished by ridiculous fools such as them. A hometown soldier who was a friend of mine when we were younger died in the line of duty in Iraq making sure we were safe here he gave his life. The phelps family showed up, and let me tell you all of the people in this town, no matter who they were or waht they did, wanted to STRANGLE them all!!! I can't beloeve how rude and disrespectful they are. They will get their chance to "shine" as Fred Phelps called it, too bad that chance will be when they're burning in hell!! I can't wait for the day one of them dies and everybody in America unites and pickets at those a$$holes funerals, how's that for karma?..

That's horrible. There are many ways to use free speech without dishonoring the memories of innocent victims like that.

"love thy neighbors."- Phelps is a hypocrite who doesn't follow the bible and will burn in Hell.
As a former Kansas Citian, it makes me sick to think that @ss hole phelps is from the state of Kansas.
