PLEASE explain how wearing the school colors shows SUPPORT to the victims families? You really want to support the families? How about sending them flowers, cards or money. Something tangable that they can actually use. People died, not the school. I understand that Danielle. It just annoys me that people think that support is mostly a frame of mind, emotion or just wearing something. It's like the war. All I see are yellow ribbon magnets on cars and these people brag about how they support our troops. Being a former Marine I KNOW our troops dont give a damn about ribbon magnets. If people really supported them, they would send care packages, petition congress, protest etc. These families lost sons, daughters, brothers and sisters. All we have lost is a few tears. By saying that would be alot of flowers shows that your compassion isn't worth much of your time or effort. But that's just my opinion and I could be wrong.

I went out of my way to wear orange and maroon today! I am glad I did, but I don't think many people at my workplace knew about it because I don't see very much orange or maroon around today. :( But we all have VA Tech in our hearts! :)

No, I don't know anyone involved and I am very glad I don't. I am wearing a maroon dress today. It is uncomfortable but that seems to make it that much more appropriate.

No, only because I have to wear scrubs to work and don't have any that are orange and maroon. I think its a nice gesture though.

i don't understand you people, I know it was a tragedy, but u do not wear something that represents our troops who r getting killed everyday.....everyone is talking about V-tech.... but if u think about it it was a murder, so abortion......... so maybe some of you need to think a little more about whats going on.. yes it is sad and I fell really sorry or the families, but MOVE ON, and bring our troops back.........................

I really wish I could. Apart from black, however, those colors are not in my wardrobe.
So I will have to wear them in my heart.
