no. cuz they can't do anything. they can't make the sens lose. the sens won. they outplayed the younger and less experienced/over eager Pens. no disrespect to the Pens, but the sens won.

like the nhl really has "control" over getting Crosby to the 2nd round.

btw, you didn't even spell his first name correctly.

This isn't the NFL. They play at least 4 games per round and if the NHL started making things too obvious for one team everyone would complain. Heck if they called the games better, stop swallowing the whistles about everything, then it might have helped. I think the Pens still lose, but they get a better showing if they Refs are more willing to call things and blow the whistle when the Puck SHOULD have been frozen by the Goalie. That's playoff hockey though, and everyone who knows the NHL knows that is how things happen.

What could the NHL have done? Thrown the series so that Crosby would get to keep playing? I don't really understand what you think that the NHL could have done. Besides, if he needs help from the league to get to the second round, he doesn't deserve to be there.

Right..just like the league helped him get all of his assists this year too. Must be the special skates the the NHL equipped for him too. Give me a break. Ottawa won fair and square. They were the better team. Its that simple, and the Sens move on.

you can't blame the NHL besides a few players on there team who has playoff experience like 6 guys who have played i think a lose was best for the team. If any think the NHL would want two American teams or two Canadian. i think the best possible match up for the NHL would be.
The Detroit Red Wings vs. The New York Rangers

NO...and hopefully this will prove to all the crybabies in these playoffs that the refs to favor one team over another. because if they would have favored anyone it would have been the pens.

And to the person who said Roberts got away with 1000 checks from behind. Well YOURE WRONG, checking from behind isnt even a penalty in the NHL, the only time a hit from behind is when it is into the boards, which would be boarding or when you Cross Check, them then that would be cross checking.

Maybe clarify that for all those isles fans that cried about that clean hit mair made on the back check in game 2 to get the scoring going

Instead of the NHL doing more maybe you should ask if Malkin could have done more. You'd think he played for Ottawa with all the give-aways he had in last night's game.

Well......if you ask the crybaby Islander fans, the NHL is too busy helping the Sabres win to bother with Crosby.

They couldn't have done more.

It is a little known fact that a group of general managers (not just Muckler) approched the league at the end of the regular season with the issue of too many calls on players who just happened to be near Crosby.

So, they were already under the microscope.

But, we can look forward to the league making sure he wins the scoring title again next year.

What else could they do. Pittsburgh was outmatched by Ottawa. Oh, and they let Gary Roberts get away with nearly 1000 checks from behind during the series.
