I went to a clinic that specialized in birth control. I paid cash for the whole thing back in 1989, when I was 21.

The alternative is to ask your primary for a referral to a urologist. Insurance will cover all or most of it.

Primary health care medical doctor can refer, or use approved list provided by insurance company.

Or, have him call his MD's office and ask for them to set him up with an appointment for procedure. Good idea to do procedure when he can take a couple of days off work after. Example: Friday afternoon, go back to work Monday.

His general physic an first who will discuss what a huge choice that he is making then if he decides this is what he wants then he will be referred to the/a surgeon who will preform the operation. You dont give much on your ages but please sit down and really make the right choice , once the operation is carried out it is often very hard or impossible to reverse what has been done

Vasectomies are generally performed by urologists. He'll need to check with his insurance co. to see if it's covered, or if he has to get a referral by his PCP, etc. -- that varies from insurance plan to insurance plan.
