Government will never allow Marijuana to become illegal. There are too many government employees dedicated to stopping the flow of it. If it were suddenly illegal a good portion of workers would be out of jobs (DEA officials, local cops, lawyers, snack food makers). As for whatever his name was about saying it is bad for your health so gov't wont make it legal. Does he think cigarettes and cigars have no negative effects? Perhaps alcohol doesn't have any negative effects either?

I'm an Australian,western Australia,our state government allow us to grow 2 plants per household,the restriction is if you get caught growing it by the police,it an on the spot fine of i thing $100,and you are never convicted of a crime,a bit like speeding,funny law but it seems to work well

I think it would make sense to tax all items with a federal sales tax instead of an income tax, including mary jane.

They've missed the boat. Do you honestly think the dealers and drug cartels are going to co operate? They're not going to turn their livelihood over to the gov't - any gov't. And, since they can't tax it, they make it illegal.

The government can't stop anything that is illegal. Drugs,illegal immigrants, etc. etc. Sell 'em and federal tax 'em!

Marijuana can never be legalized since it is a prohibited drug that is dangerous to the health of people and will never be subject to tax.
