Mom should come back. She's probably close. Leave them, but keep an eye out for predators.

how big are the bunnies? If the white stripe is gone from the head.. or they are the size of an average fist.. they are weaned... if they are smaller than this... they need mom.. but.. Mom does not stay w/ the bunnies! you can touch them.... the mom will take them back. If their little bellies are nice are round.. they are fine.. leave them alone.. If they are skinny and frail looking... bring them in... put in a box w/a heating pad on low underneath... use a syringe.. they eat puppy milk replacer.. Esbilac is a great brand. they aspirate easy.. so if you dont know what ur doing.. do a google search for a wildlife rehabilitator in your area.

Sniffydogs is right mom bunnies don't stay with their litters 24/7, they raise them as latchkey kids. She will be back and is the best suited option for raising baby bunnies (no surprise bunnies are known for raising lots of babies). If you just cant STAND leaving the alone call a wildlife rehabilitatior. Trying to raise them yourself is unlikely to work. Bunnies stress VERY easily and going from wild to some ones house will almost certainly stress them to death - not a nice way to go.

The best thing to do IF no other animals can get to the nest is to leave them be!! UNLESS!! You can catch the mother rabbit first!! I am assuming that they are not wild rabbits! The mother will only come and feed them once a day! If you have to get them, and can't get the mother, then you will have to feed them a special kind of milk. I have read lots of info on baby rabbits and it all said that it is very hard to keep them alive by bottle feeding them. I wish you luck with what ever you do!! Try a google search about rabbit care first.

Depends on young they are. They could survive without their mother, but you do not have to take them to a shelter or get anyone involved. A cardboard box with a blanket, some hay and special milk. Be gentle with them. They will probably live longer with you, than you leaving them outside with the chances.

The mother should be around somewhere, so i'd leave them out there but put them in a cardboard box facing out so that the mother will be able to find them and they'd be free to come and go as they please. put a blanket or something warm in the cardboard box so they wouldn't get cold. If the mother dosn't turn up definately take them in and hand rear them urself or give them to someone who is willing to care for them. Make sure u take them to the vet if ur hand rearing them to make sure they're ok.

Are you sure the Mom is dead? Cottontails will only feed their babies once/day. If you are sure the Mom is dead, then call a wildlife rehab group right away. Here is a link to baby rabbits and you'll see a section on wild rabbits with info on rehab groups.

Leave them there. Mother rabbits will leave their babies out in the open for hours at a time, coming back to feed them. If the mama sticks around too much, it could attract a predator. So, unless you have a pet that will attack them, leave them be. Mama will be back.
