Seriously? Why do men cheat instead of just telling their wives they arent interested in them anymore? It makes life so much better, women get more upset if they catch their men cheating instead of having a talk.

I suppose if a person realized they were no longer in love with their spouse or never were in the first place but felt like they were stuck in the relationship, then they would be reluctant to talk just out of pure not caring. Otherwise, maybe like some others said, they want to have both women, maybe they think they won't get caught, who knows. I think if one person cheats, it's the end. I've never seen anyone stay together and be more than superficially happy or even okay. I think if two people truly love each other and respect each other and what marriage means, there won't be any cheating, because they would always have their spouse at the FRONT of their mind, not at the back like old school friends.

Good question, why do they cheat,or why can't they just tell us that it's over so there will not be no heavy drama. Most men that do cheat, are afraid to leave their comfortable bed. They will not even think that if they get caught, the circumstances will be big, esp. when there's a kid in the picture. Some excuse that they will say is they're not getting it from home. Some will just do it because sleeping with another woman is a thrill to them. And there are some that will just cheat because it's their nature, (no offense to good men here)..

There is no single reason. Sometimes wives abandon their husbands and it's actually the wives who won't talk. These men are the ones who are trying to initiate emotional intimacy; and their wives disconnect from them. Sometimes men just fall in-love by accident. We don't know what's happening. Sometimes men are so loosely married (long distance relationships) that peer pressure and aggressive female sensuality - combined with some alcohol - are too much to handle.

In all the cases I've mentioned, the man may deeply love the wife; and the marriage is redeemable. Sometimes a man is just a 'pig of a man' and he has no regard for his wife. From what I've seen, this is the rare exception. In this case, the marriage is not worth saving.

It is sort of an ego thing for some men. They have no intention of leaving or divorcing their wives, but it makes them feel maybe more masculine or powerful to have another woman or women on the side. Bill Clinton and John F. Kennedy are two prime examples of this. Neither had any intention of getting a divorce, yet they both were notorious womanizers.

I read one of the sex therapists on yahoo saying that 1 in 5 couples are having sex less then 10 times a year. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that in most of those marriages, the higher drive partner has probably tried _repeatedly_ to bring this up, and has basically at this point been told 'you are obsessed with sex'.

Communication isn't very helpful if one (or both) partners aren't interested in actually doing anything.

I don't know. I'd guess that 'boredom with current partner' is not actually the typical cause of cheating, though there is a small group of habitual cheaters who always gets bored. I'd guess most cheaters - male or female - are feeling neglected, unloved, unwanted at home, and then they meet someone who actually seems to be interested in them. Perhaps some of them could have communicated their needs better to their partners, but I bet a lot of them tried, and were told that their partners were too tired/busy for them.

I wish I knew the answer to this question too! Why can`t they just be honest? I think they like the thrill of cheating, not only for their own satisfaction, but to see how long they can get away with it. When the affair becomes dull, they still have the security of their wives?

I am a man and I know the answer to this age old question that no woman will be able to change 10,000 years of cheating.

Even though you have steak at home... that hot dog sure looks good sometimes.

The reason we don't tell you after we cheat is that... HELL HATH NO FURY LIKE A WOMAN SCORNED... we will lose all battles after that

Because Men and Women sometimes get caught up in a world of hell that has no exit in marriage.
The delima becomes futile and eventually leads to destruction by choices either stay or leave and a fickled result ends up with infidelities that marks another X on the chalk board of marrital affairs.

If you place your X in the middle box, your marriage basically remains with no escape so it appears.

The solution and real answer to your question is not to play the game!!!!

A man cheats NOT because he doesn't love or care or wants to be with his wife or woman.. It's just temptation which is ingrained in the men's genes.. Lots of men control their desires and some just don't....

And they don't confront because there's nothing to confront
