I was raised Baptist. When I realized that there was more to Christianity than Salvation, tithing and avoiding the "list of forbidden things", I left.

The day I got filled with the Holy Spirit (as evidenced with speaking in other tongues) is the day that I realized a religious doctrine can get you killed. The Baptists, God help them, only teach a very small portion of the Bible, and discard the rest.

Where is the sense in that? If you are going to believe the Bible, believe it all.

I was born and raised a Baptist...but I profess to no religion.
