i recently split from my boyfriend and posted a question on how to deal with a self esteem issue, in which i said that my ex was controlling, yes he had those tendencies but i think it came across as though i was not able to even breath, i think i was angry at the situation and had just focused on that to help me deal with the split,
I was with him for 3 yrs and he brought many good things in to my life, it was a regular relationship with up's and down's, and our downs became too much for me and effected my self esteem, so i apologise to anyone who answered me thinking i was an abused woman! and to him if he ever sees this x

I doubt that any of those people will ever see this posting unless you contact each one individually. Well, if it releives you of any guilt or stress then I guess its ok. I can tell that you have a guilty conscience & it seems to haunt you until you do something about it. ie: breaking up with your BF & then realising the good in being with him. Also asking for advise on Y!A & after feeling guilt you apologise to an audience of about 15 million people. Hmmmmmm!

you have much to be proud of. Having corrected what could have been very painful for another to read before he might have even read it shows that though he was controlling...and you felt it necesary to leave him for that that there was some love and respect for him. That you could apologise for any misconceptions shows how secure you are in yourself and it is indicative of a person who does NOT have a self esteem problem. You go girl.

ah, I think allot of girls tend to place to much self-worth on their relationships, which cause you to feel abused after a break up, mainly because YOU stripped your own identity away, kinda.
Also it is best to find self-validation not outside yourself BUT WITHIN. and take relationships as ways to grow, someone to grow with.
Personally I was in a relationship for six years, and then with no warning committed suicide . That is far worse than being dumped. I am over it now, but have grown allot. I like thinking about my life in terms of lessons learned. And write allot to help me figure it out. After all, "we write to live things twice, once as it is happening and again in retrospect" - Anais Nin

Your first answer said you generally felt liberated, so this may be your feelings in a backlash. However, there was a reason you left as well as a reason to reach out to us by posting, so do not discount what your feelings were at that time.
Take care, my friend.

Tina genuinely said that? properly in any case... Yea, if she continues to be, it may get worst (if Chris variations for sure) yet i do not imagine that he'd damage her that badly, like the way Ike did, because he's no longer utilising drugs. i might want to genuinely go away the guy that abused me (if it did ensue) and correctly, Rhianna might want to leave Chris. it truly is going to/may worsen. I heard that Rhianna had to stay with Chris and different stuff, yet she might want to leave him. it truly is no longer healthful for her to stay with him. the fellow who said she might want to stay with him.. no longer the type of solid idea. also how do you spell Rhianna's call? I in a large number of cases see it spelled Rihanna... so complicated!!!!
