Theres this one friend of mine who I stopped hanging out with cuz everytime Im around her its accompanied by a general feeling of tiredness and increased stress. A lot of my friends feel the same way & some dont. Those who dont tend to be the mosre easy going ones, but they feel it eventually too. Why does this happen and am I especially open to it ?

Some people are more vulnerable yes.
I know because a couple of people I know are. These people are sensitive and they want to help those around them. So when someone like an energy vamp comes around, they can get affected more than other people.
Only selfish people do not get affected by energy vamps. Probably because theyre so selfish theyre not willing to give energy to anyone but themselves.

Most energy vampires don't realize they are doing it. (There are a few out there, apparently, who do know they are doing it, can do it intentionally, only do it on someone who's willing, and are far more considerate about leaving some for the donor to use. But of course the kind we are talking about right now, are the ones that seem to be an energetic black hole. It's alot to cope with. You are probably and empath. I tend to avoid people like that as well, I have trouble coping with it. It might help you to do visualization exercises for grounding and protection... I don't know why it happens really, they seem especially needy and self absorbed, I couldn't give you technical details on how they wind up sucking away your personal energy that way....

Yes there are people like that and if you don't have the wisdom to to let what they be run off you like water on a ducks back it is best to leave them alone.Jesus said to let your light shine and the only way it truly shines is in the dark where all that are around can see the light.It would be great if all of us could shine but the ones that know the true Love of God and operate in it are not afraid or intimidated by someone with the qualities that you mention.How else could they maybe be transformed except someone show them the difference.
You should search out for your self,you may have a gift from God that shows you what is in someones heart and spirit.
It is called the gift of discerning of spirits.

Yeah, some might refer to them/it with other given names, but they are generally just negative people or people with personal issues who need to work things out. People with spiritual stress will often times relay that onto others even if they're not intending to. There's so many dynamics in what you are talking about though. It could be a devious person whom yes, does feed their negative energy with other's positive energy, or it could just be someone in distress in need of a good friend or someone to talk to.

yes I do believe that... there are some people that when you are around them, they suck the life out of you... Try 20 kindergartners on a rainy day... haha they do the same thing... but all jokes aside, there are people that always have negativity going on in their life day after day. Eventually, you get tired of hearing it or tired of trying to solve their problems.

Absolutly, and I absolutly can't stand them.
My Grandmother is a classic case, she sucks the joy out of anything, (no wonder I'm not to keen on her!!!)
These people just seeme to ruin everything. I don't recon your especially open to it, it's just when some people are so negativ and miserable it rubbs off!!!!!!!!

My freshman year science teacher was like that. Once we were in that class, it seemed like he was sucking the energy out of you until you had no choice but to lay your head on the desk and sleep. Go figure.

Psy-vamps... yes, I believe there is SOME truth to it. I don't see any reason why it couldn't happen that way. Though I wouldn't say you are especially open to it... I'd say the girl doesn't realize what she is doing.

We consist of body, soul and spirit. Its the spirit which is affected by people such as this.
The spirit discerns demonic activity in or around the person and this is what you feel.
