Its an old term that has been replaced by the word casket. It was the container where we burried our dead.

I think the Term Coffin was used in the Bible, at least once. Joseph was in a coffin in Egypt. Something like that.

It is a spasm in the lungs. As in "I breathed in some dust and i couldn't stop coffin"
