Recently in FL a man called 911 for help with is choking girlfriend. The dispatcher asked him if he knew the hemlic manuever (sp) and he stated he did not and neither did the dispatcher (Hello, train your emergency dispatchers much) the dispatcher tried desperately to get her supervisor who did not assist her and even make jokes about the couple in the backround as this man watched his girlfriend choke to death. That supervisor took early retirement after the events and before an investigation was launched.

A woman called 911 to report that her child would not obey her. If we all used it for that, nothing else would ever get through on the line! I don't know about you, but I haven't met too many perfect kids.

Heard a recording on TV about a woman that called 911 to ask what temperature to cook a Thanksgiving turkey at. They told her how to cook it. They should have traced her call and given her a fine.

There was a woman who called 911 from the drive-through at a fast food restaurant, because she couldn't get her burger the way she wanted it. There is a recording of the actual call online, I heard it a while back.

This is a real problem. The first call that millions of cell phone users do upon getting a new phone is to test if their phone is working by claling 911.

I heard a call go out one night. It was a father who called 911 to report his sun who had called the child abuse hot-line because he was being sent to military school. Needless to say it was in one of the rich snobby sections of the county.

The stupidest one I ever heard of was a guy calling in to say another guy had been hit by a car. They asked him for directions and he said is on Sycamore street. They said can you spell Sycamore and he tries...sick ...sicka...sicky....and then the dispatcher hears extreme screaming. The guy comes back on and says okay now I dragged him Main street.....M A I N... you can pick him up there.

Where the stupid dispatcher accused a child who was alerting them that her parent was unconscious to "quit playing with the phone" and the parent eventually died fromt he subject of the call -- they have untrained monkeys answering those calls in some cities. Sad.

Disturbed kinky man had wrapped himself up in cellophane wrap from shoulders to his hips, binding his hands and taping his mouth to masturbate. When binding became too tight, he panicked and couldn't breath. Officer's had to break in door....it was chained and subject couldn't get his hands that high. They then cut his stupid naked self free of the plastic.
