EU would win, they are spread over a much wider area if it came to a ground war. Us would win if it came to air war or nuclear.

Are you high? First of all I don't think Spanish is an official US military language.. though who knows these days. Secondly the fact that the EU has so many different groups is a detriment rather than a benefit. The number of different special forces is really meaningless in a hypothetical intercontinental war. If there were an actual war fought, the US would only have to make nice-nice with a large central power (say Germany) and watch the entire European house of cards fall down.

Well lets see. The EU doesn't have a Blue Water Navy anymore. Just one real aircraft carrier and two half carriers. The EU does not have any long range bombers at all. The EU does not have the ships or logistics capability to invade the US. So just how would you expect them to win ? The Militaries in Europe, are only a fraction of what they were 10 years ago, even smaller when compared to 20 years ago. The military's in Europe, are not trained for war fighting anymore, they are trained for peace keeping.

Pretty funny question. Here is what would happen:

Germany would not fight unless the 'enemy' was on German soil. Strong military, but the government will not send troops outside of Germany to fight. So, the 'enemy' would fight all around Germany and then surround it.

France: We would threaten to cause terror attacks in France. France would surrender immediately.

Ireland: We'd stop by and have a drink with them. Once they learned we were going to kick England's butt, they would buy us another round before we head off.

England: Who? They couldn't beat their way out of a wet paper bag. Good ally, but weak military (equipment wise).

Italy: Could be tough after we chase them into the Alps.

Austria: Most Austrian military would move to Germany and hold ground there until the 'invasion'. It would be better to join forces with thier buddies to the northwest than try and fight alone.

Turkey: We wouldn't even enter the country. Line up a fleet off the coast and they would either surrender or find out what the Navy can do with it's BIG GUNS.

Greece: They'd watch Turkey get obliderated and thank us.

Spain: They would see France surrender and move the boarder while they were distracted.

If I didn't mention a country, it's because they were too small to mention as they would be nothing more than a minor speedbump on the way.

Actually, the Rangers and MFU are indeed special ops. The Rangers have always been part of USSOC. The Marines have joined Joint Special Operations Command in 2006.

Now, as far as EU. They know 20 languages and can't fight in any of them. If they did, we wouldn't have had to fight Germany twice to protect a whole continent. Hell, the only French and English units that are worth a damn are the Foreign Legion and the Ghurkas, which aren't French or English, respectively.

EU has a military, other than Germany? Could have fooled me.
Ground wars are never won, unless the army on the grounds Air force, has established air superiority

On paper, the EU has more troops than the USA, but they are so disorganized as a fighting force that they would be completely ineffective against the USA. They also lack the military hardware to bring the fight to US soil.

Same answer to your China question.

As long as the US didn't try to invade Europe ( that is with the entire EU supporting the other side ).

The EU is militarily weak.

They just don't have the Navy and logistics capability to forward project force in any meaningful way.

Remember, Britain had to use a Cruise Ship to transport soldiers to the Falkland's. They had no other way to get soldiers there. Britain's Navy is about 50% smaller now than it was then.

The US has the ability to bomb any target in Europe from the US, Europe does not have the capability to bomb the US mainland from Europe.

It would be a very bloody battle. The problems I see is England, Germany, and Irland. The French will fall Like a hookers panties. No afence to the people of Poland you have shown you can hold your own on and invasion but the Grom will not outstand our forces.

Under the stress the EU would quickly turn and kill each other. The winner would pretend to be America's friend.
