Definitely, definitely gotta have the female spayed. If you don't then your life and that of your dogs will be hell when she comes into season.

the best thing you can do is go to the charity shops and get a few baby grows and make sure they are dark ones and that they have poppers that can be done up i have these and as soon as i know my ***** is on heat i put the baby grow on her and the dog cant get any where near her if we go out and leave them i stitch it up at the bottom and just leave a part clear for the ***** if she needs to go to there toilet i know if she needs a pee it will get wet if you are not around but better that than a load of unwanted pups my ***** don't mind wearing it she is use to it and you have to take it of and keep her clean a bit extra work but that don't hurt and make sure you get a stretch one and that goes over the ***** head and put her legs in the arm holes and the legs in the leg holes then button up under neath i find it 100 percent

Anti-Mate sprays Do Not work!!! they only mask the smell, a dog's sense of smell is incredible, and no amount of 'perfume' is going to fool him, the only way you can stop these 2 dogs mating is to keep them WELL APART, put one of them in kennels, and at 6 months of age get the dog Castrated, and 3 months after the bitches season get her spayed.

You need to provide more details - keep apart for how long & why?
If you mean while the b1tch is in season, the only way you can be 100% certain of not having an accidental mating is to put one of them in kennels for the duration. If you don't have the facility for kennelling at least one of them at home, I would suggest one of them should be neutered otherwise, accidents will happen.
The sprays/tablets you buy are not effective - they only work by disguising the smell & aren't 100%

Yes, they will try to ...er...get friendly. Dogs don't really get the concept of brother & sister. If they're still not fixed by the time they mature, you might have to keep one outside and one in. or both outside but in seperate dog runs. (By the way, if you want fix only one and breed the other, I suggest you keep the male for stud. The owners of females have to pay since they're the ones that end up with the pups.)

She cant get pregnant till shes in season and he is unlikely to try till then. You can tell if she in season - her female parts will swell and shell drip some blood for them. And by the way she cant get pregant the first (or even second) day so check each morning & dont worry . Shes amlost guarenteed not to come in heat before 6 months so spay her then & no problem.

Eh, in case you ask questions approximately a internet communicate board suited left to experts, or in case you do not choose to hearken to a coaching with effects you do unlike (PTS), then you definately get what you get. I occassionally will tell human beings to the two get their canines(s) far off from their infant, or to have it evaluated. then lower back, i be attentive to multiple canines, and none could viciously chew with out severe provocation, and a few could in no way chew. If i'm able to tell a individual is definitely attracted to residing with the situation, and would not have babies, then i'm going to offer some advice including containment or severe coaching. further, i think of proprietors, in the event that they're attracted to conserving the canines, could desire to be forthright with regard to the situation. the only proprietor of a biting canines (great GSD) i be attentive to has him placed on a 'do not puppy' vest any time he's in public, and he's meticulously knowledgeable. She's ordinary with regard to the situation, and that they are the two waiting to stay with it.

Why can't you spay/neuter them now? 4 months of age is a very good age to spay and neuter your dogs, they do not need to be 6 months of age, that's just the age that most vets prefer to do it. It is completely up to you. Keeping a brother and sister away is very important and will be very hard. I suggest just getting them fixed now, or at least spay the female before her first heat.

They will only mate when she's in season. So just keep them apart then. You will need to buy at least one breeders manual if you intend to breed, that will describe how to tell when she's in season.
They can be kept together the rest of the time.

Well simple solution, Get the male desexed or the female desexed,
I think you should have the male desexed because male dogs sometimes get confused about their sexuality if there not. If you need them for breeding purposes simply go to your local pet care store and get some non mating spray for the female for the meantime.
good luck.
