Can you really say there are no gender differences, knowing that girls don't shoot up schools?

I've noticed that female killers tend to look like men. They seem to be the exceptions that prove the rule.

No one can deny the fact that men have been more inclined to acts of violence throughout history, although some believe this is determined through biology others see this as being more a phenomenon of socialization.

These young disgruntled males that commit this kind of violence are acting out against the society in which they live, the very society that condones war and makes pornography out of violence. These particular males that commit mass murder enter the realm of a new and twisted kind of martyr, that isn't completely different than the modern day terrorist or freedom fighter. Like the terrorist these young men are indeed acting out against Patriarchy (tho they don't know it) in the ultimate father and son battle.

Think about it, the V tech shooter, left us with disturbing images of the disgruntled son lashing out at society for leaving him no choice but to act out the violence that has been spoon fed to him as a child.
Women are quite capable of this kind violence, however the fact that men commit way more, is directly related to Patriarchy and their role in it, this is how men suffer under such a power structure. Women who do step into this realm become something of an "honorary male" filling the role that Patriarchy has carved out for men in the desire to fill the myth of heroism (or so it has become anti-heroism)

Girls my not use a gun as a method to terrorize. However, 6 years ago a young lady a student at the only high school in my small rural community. She made a bomb threat, also she had made up a hit list of all the teachers and students she was going to harm. Or had intentions of harming. She was removed from the school and the rules changed dramatically for all of the students. They are no longer able to carry a book bag to or throughout the school. Last year their were two more female students that made threats against a teacher and other students by way of a note, I believe they had a list of people also. So girls also have a tendency for violence if pushed, or they have not developed coping mechanisms to deal with frustration and anger. And they make bad choices. Thank God, authorities and teachers were able to stop before anything happened. Who knows what may have happened if they had not been caught. We as a society must remove the stigma of having a mental illness. God bless, Glo****

There are no girl shooter for the same reason girls didnt discover America or girls did not go to the moon or girls did not design quality cars. No balls. You want a world where boys are just like girls ? Fine no wars also, but also we wouldnt be a top of the food chain and the most advanced too would probably be a sharpend stone.
As you can see we agree on your "question" and I say you are right girls and boys differ widely and that is a good thing. So yeah you gotta take the good with the bad. You dont get mad at guys in general if one of them runs amok and I wont get mad at women if it will be men and not women to take mankind to the edge of the universe.

The sad fact ist that men commit most of the crimes and murders, and have been abusing women since the beginning of time. Personally I think that they lack the maternal instinct that women have to nuture and bring life into this world. After all why bother getting pregneant if you are only going on to take another life. And throughout history, most of the woman who have gone bad have either been taught by men, or never had kids. Yes there is the rare case when a woman kills her chhildren, but statistically it is so rare it is almost not existant. And then again most of the murders commited by women are against their cheating husbands. So women, pleased be admired for the fact that you are more stable then men, commit fewer crimes, and in many ways superior to men. And how about all the women, such as Sen Clinton that had to endure the pain and hardship of a cheating husband. I give her credidt for understanding the weaknesses of men, even thought he was a president.

There are some very dangerous girls out there. mater of fact, some statistics say girls, or women are more dangerous than guys or men, or most likely to kill. I think the school shootings are glorified too much by the news and some guys watch more violent shows that influence them to do this. I don't know whether or not it is a gender physiological coincidence or not. It is apparent that more security, like the national guard is needed in our schools to insure the safety of the students. I think that if the ones that knew of these obvious signs of dangerous mentally, these students would not be dead.

Men and women are different no doubt about that.
We are each good at something.

Men: fixing up the house, building, can be romantic, Grill cooking, outdoor work, main income in some cases

Women: cook, clean, mom, no quick stupid actions, mature, take care of kids

Both sexes are good at some things and not others. Men are not useless but can be sometimes, but women can too. We are equal!

There may not have been any female school shooters in recorded history, but there's a first time for everything.

There are plenty of gender differences. Here's the thing I've noticed: men ACT upon their feelings. How many times has a WOMAN cut you off on the freeway in anger? Eh? Men have testosterone. Testosterone makes you do stupid stuff. It's not their fault.

Because men dont know how to deal with their emotions and it builds and builds like a pressure cooker ready to explode if some stressful event occurs and take it out on others.

Women on the other hand are more likely to self-harm than kill others.

But thats does not mean to say that they wont take a gun and start blowing peoples brains out. We see many female action heros now like milla jovovich in Ultraviolet, 5th element. Thelma and Louise taking on the entire state police. Kill Bill. The list goes on. No matter how much we try to deny it the media does influence our behaviour to a certain degree because it puts us into a fantasy world and ideal world where the protagonist is able to control his own fate without the concern of what happens to others. If someone has mental problems the boundary between fantasy and reality becomes blurred when too much of this crap is put into the heads by the things they see and hear in the media. Their capacity for logical thinking is less than other folks.

Im pretty sure in time if things dont change we will see a female mass murderer, she may even be more clever than her male counterparts, and turn to other methods such as poisoning and arson, etc.

And LEE (above) you dont sound too bright when you say the number of women that kill their kids is near non-existant, as many women have abortions, and I know of a handful of cases where women have murdered their own kids, and it sickens me to the core because we dont expect that from women who we believe to be the carers and nurturers. And to say that women go bad because they dont have kids? Where did you get that from? I guess you dont realise how sexist that sounds. So in order for women to prove they are not uncaring they got to have kids? hmmmmm
