Hi,
I suffer from mild anxiety. i don't have panic attacks - the main symptoms i get are: guilt, butterflies in the stomach, disturbing thoughts occasionally, poor concentration/attention, aches.
these are not constant syptoms. they occur only when i'm under stress from uni or had an argument with my g/f or if something happens that makes me a lot more worried than usual.
if anyone else out there has suffered this, how did you get treated?
would you recommende the linden method?
thanks

anxiety - stress etc are all related. The symptoms are all to do with Fight/Flight which is the core of all anxiety and other powerful emotions.
The best treatment in hypnotherapy - relaxation - NLP TFT EFT - you could self help on them if it is mild enough. TFT and EFT are particually easy to self help

Hi, I don't know what the linden treatment is and I've had a lot of anxiety problems. Besides possibly taking medication and talk therapy, exercise is a wonderful way to ease those uneasy feelings. It does not have to be anything more than a good vigorous walk. As long as you are physically fit enough to do some exercise, give it a try before going for meds.

I think you are experiencing a normal response to normally stressful events. You don't need treatment in my opinion, but perhaps you need to allow yourself:
1. to feel a bit stressed sometimes, it is OK.
2. to take time to relax - get exercise, go for a walk, read a book
If the stress feels overwhelming, or it never really goes away (this is not what you describe), then you should seek therapy. If you are not sure, then an appointment with a counsellor or therapist would help you to clarify things.

It sounds like you need to seek out the opinion of a therapist and/or Psychiatrist. often times starting to talk about things especially when the anxiety is just beginning or before it escalates can help a great deal. Buspar is also a very mild, non addictive medication you can ask about that might help.Meditation and breathing exercises can help some. I hope you get to feeling better~

Hi there, i am just the same as you, i get stressed terribly and over the same things too. i finally ended up gouing to the doctors and having a chat about possible ways to help.....not just medication. If you dont mind chatting about your anxieties then perhaps try this as talking to a professional sometimes helps you to understand what your body is doing and what methods of help are available. Hope you feel better soon x

Avoid medications for colds and anything with caffeine: coffee, tea, chocolate, cocoa, pepsi, coke, red bull, mountain dew, excedrin, no doze, etc. - read labels. Try seven blossoms or chamomile tea, or Valerian root or Arctic root (health food stores). See http://www.anxiety-and-depression (depression-solutions.com) & http://www.anxietynetwork.com (.com/pdhome.html) Use either of the methods at http://deeplyrelax.com or http://www.dbtselfhelp.com/
