Dear Friends,
Please provide me with some info on how to book a low budget flight from Istanbul to Izmir. I will be in Istanbul in June. Onur Air web site is down most of the time. I cannot book online through atlas air also. What about traveling by ferry to Bandirma and then taking the bus to Izmir. I heard that is the fastest way after flying. Please help.

I travelled from istanbul to izmir on coach in last September, the coach itself gets on a ferry (so you don't need to do the transfer thing and wait around), that's the simply easiest way, it will take you around 9 hrs...

if that's too long you will have to get a flight, the cheapest ones I know are onur air, atlas and pegasus airlines...

Ä°stanbul to Ä°zmir rent acar 10 euro a day and leave it to Ä°stanbul airport when you re back
too much flying is bad for your ears and stomach pal.

The easiest and cheapest way to travel from istanbul to izmir is travelling by couch.i recommend you to use Pamukkale,Varan or Nilufer ( these are the reliable and comfortable bus company's names).it is approx. 35-45 ytl. and it takes 9 hours.

It is worth going through a travel agency for internal flights as they can get the tickets with ease and also book flights that are more than 90 days ahead (impartibly to do online with THY for example). I used http://www.flightpositive.com who were very good.

onurair website has no problem, I've used it recently and suggest it..
http://www.onurair.com.tr/

if that does not worksomehow, some other airline firms you can use are;
http://www.flypgs.com/ (pegasus airlines)
http://www.thy.com/ (turkish airlines)
http://www.atlasjet.com.tr/ (atlasjet)
