There is a tolerance that is not Holy. When we have the chance to point people in the right direction we must point. Intolerants is satans last hour ploy to stop christian from telling he truth of the gosple and exposing the lies of other faiths. The light exposes the darkness. That means exactly that that we being christians are to expose darkness. Do not mistake truth that hurts as intolerant.

Dear Snakey,
First let me say that the Bible does not state that Christians are to be tolerant of others. They are most certainly supposed to love others, but sometimes loving others involves correcting behavior that is not healthy (i think parents understand this with their children). However, i think many Christians struggle with how to do that in a loving fashion.
i think there is a misunderstanding as to what tolerance is.
i went to dictionary.com and found this definition:
***showing respect for the rights or opinions or practices of others
As a Christian i wholeheartedly concur with you that i should respect others practices or opinions, but i don't have to agree with them. And Christianity is not as "broad" as other religions and so Christianity does not change its beliefs to be more "politically correct". i don't think that i have to agree with someone to love them, and i think Jesus of all people loved people whose lifestyles he didn't always agree with, but he also came into their lives to make a difference.
Yes there are times my non-Christian friends do things which put a wedge in our relationship (for example: they go to a strip club- at that point in the evening i gotta part ways with them). They can say hey you're judging me, you're being intolerant of me, not i'm just being a Christian. If they ask me, i'll tell them what God thinks about it, and i'll tell them it's not such a great idea. That doesn't make me intolerant it just makes me different from them. It doesn't make them any less my friends- it just sometimes puts some barriers up... These same friends are the same ones who come to me for prayer and love and support when their families and marriages struggle. So i think it's something that Christians do work on- it's something that Christians struggle with and many people are not at a place in their faith to deal rightly with people who disagree with them.
Hope that helps. Kindly and respectfully,
Nickster

Please study history before you make such rash statements. You just said that the Bible speaks of tolerance, which would make tolerance a Christian invention. The Constitution was written by men who believed in Christian ideals. As far as pagans being tolerant, I believe the Romans were pagan, and they were tolerant only until you didn't do what they wanted you to.

You are supposed to love thy neighbor as thy love, thy self, as god loves you... Not everyone practice the same things. or should i say beleive in the same thing. But all the question that anyone has. the bible holds them all...
