I have coeliac disease, and whenever i eat anything containing gluten, it affects my joints and makes them ache, so when my joints first started to ache again the other day, i just put it down to eating something I wasn't meant to. However, in the last 2 days the pain hasn't gone away at all, if anything it's gotten worse...and I seem to be going numb in my wrists and ankles - it's extremely unpleasant. At first it was only happening every few hours...now it's every few minutes. I'm also certain that I have not eaten anythign else I shouldn't have. I'll go to the doctor...but I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas about what it might be..or if anyone else has experienced this? Thanks...

Celiac can cause nerve damage to occur. I found this out from someone who has Celiac and I have read recently that experts are starting to recognize that it can cause all kinds of symptoms.

The dr may also want to check to see if Diabetes could be starting to play a role in to some of this too because Diabetes can cause nerve damage too.
