Death has always scared me to death--to know that we have a shelf life and only God knows when it will expire makes me crazy. So many people die when they are so young with no explanations-murder--so many acts of violence- Death is the end to the final frontier

Yes, I am, seriously 100% scared to *death*! Sometimes I can't stop thinking/obsessing about it...
I believe in God and Jesus but my problem is that I don't think that's where I'm going to go when I die. (Some things I just can't see Him forgiving) So therefore I really do NOT want to die.

Sure, I am afraid to die at times, but I think it is more the fear of that being an unknown as well as having to be alone ..because that is a journey that only one can make. But I am too busy trying to live to worry about that all of the time. My faith helps with the fear as well, cause I do believe that there is a GOD. I try not to dwell, because the fact that I may not be here someday is too much for me to wrap my mind around.

I work with cancer patients, not a hospice nurse, an oncology nurse but higher percentage of them were terminal and as i see my patients fade away with dignity intact, no, i'm not scared to die, i feel sad for the loved ones i'm leaving but for myself...i'm ready anytime, i think my work, even i am fairly compensated is enough good deed if i will not ever get a chance to work for free and serve other people without any remuneration. As i'm not afraid to die, I'm not afraid to live either, i see life as a big challenge and the only way to surpass all of it is to live happy and contented.

Death would be one good way to get out from under all my many creditors.
I'm not afraid of death--I just don't want to be there when it happens.
I don't want a long, lingering, painful death. When it comes time for me to die, I want to go quietly and peacefully, in my sleep. Like the way my uncle passed away. Not carrying on, kicking and screaming, like his passengers.
As an alternative to that, another option would to be shot by a jealous husband...

Nope! I had this born-again moron once preaching at me (not TO me, mind you) about sin and salvation and all of that contrived s-it (I'm an atheist)... when he asked me where I was going to be 500 years from now if I didn't believe in heaven OR hell (hell is right here on earth; just look at what happened last monday at VT and all of the boys that are being slaughtered daily in Iraq for nothing),without hesitating I told him "Probably pretty much in the same place I was 500 years AGO!!" (If I recall personally, 500 years ago was a pretty f-cking peaceful time for me... but I don't remember any of it! LOL)

LOL,, Hell yeah I'm scared to death, but there's not much I can do about it, so all our worrying is pointless.
My dads heart gave out for 3 minutes and he saw heaven, and I was in a carcrash and was knocked out, so I didn’t suffer,, it was so quick (not that I'm dead mind you) what I'm saying is,, if I had died,, It wouldn’t have been that bad, don't worry about dying worry about the circumstances leading up to it,,lol

Yeah, what if there is no afterlife and all there is for all eternity is nothingness with no hope to escape? It sounds very sad to not be able to do anything of the wonderful things we do on earth. Another thing I'm scared of is going to Hell.

If I was scared to death, I would already be dead, and therefore not scared anymore. So no. (since I am still breathing....not scared of that at all)
