You can not drive with an expired license.

Yes it will, just as if you were driving with a regular license. The only difference is that with a CDL, you get placed out-of-service and the vehicle you're driving gets towed AND the infraction gets reported to the Federal Gov't. Also, the company you are driving for can be cited for "permitting an unlicensed operator" or the more serious infraction on CFR 49 (permitting a vehicle requiring CDL to be operated w/o a CDL).

If you're driving a truck, absolutely. You know how hard it is to get a CDL in the first place. If you're working for a trucking firm, you just lost your job, and now you don't have any license at all. I'm really surprised you let it expire. That is if this question is even for real.

Yeah, big problem. You get in trouble for driving on an expired general license. Not only will the law be on your back but I'm pretty sure your employer would be too. They get big fines for having unlicensed or unproperly licensed drivers on their force. Notify your employer and get it updated so that you are legal. Have a nice day!

Yes, It is a problem, But it also depends on which state and city you live in. I got pulled over with an expired License one time but the cop just ran my name and number and let me go. told me to go to the DMV and get an UpDated one. Sometimes you can get away with it other times they will impound your car. Like i said it all depends. Depends on the officer to which pulls you over also.

Yes, your vehicle will remain where it is until someone comes and gets it. You will lose you license for i think one year and be fined. You will have to go to court, pay court costs and depending upon your record, may not get your CDL back. good luck, why not just renew it man?
