What does an actual Christian act like?

God doesn't like rich people, (remember the Camel-needle thingy? Pretty straight forward, to me.) what makes anyone think God likes rich countries?

Face it, you are not a Christian because you say you are, any more than China in the "Peoples Democratic Republic" because they SAY they are.

You are a Christian only if your heart is in the right place.

Now works do NOT prove you are a Christian, but the lack of works proves beyond the shadow of a doubt that you are not, because if your heart is where it is supposed to be, the works will just be what you naturally do, and how you want to behave.

So if you live in a big house, drive an expensive car, own stocks, or have more then a few thousand dollars in the bank, guess what?

Since most of America likes the label, but the follow thru, not so much, America is not only a particulary un-Christian state, but as a cellpool of wealth and temptation, it seems a safe bet it's probably one of the Devils favorite places.

Which is a shame, because we had so much potential once.

Sadly, no. When you ask most non-Christians to name a well-known Christian person, they're going to tell you Pat Robinson or Jerry Falwell. When you consider how much time either one of those people spend on the airwaves pouring homophobia and anti-Semitism into our culture, it should make you sick that these men are thought of as Christians.

Christians shouldn't be judgmental or hateful. They shouldn't condemn others when they know it's only by grace that they are forgiven for their sins. They should be graceful and loving when handling others. Too many people who claim to be Christian preach a message of intolerance. It's not Christian... it's an abomination of what Christ intended.

You know who I think a good example of a Christian is? Bono. No jokes here, I think he's the best example we've had in years. Bono selflessly gives his time, energy and money to those who can't help themselves. He's taken his talent and given the world something back that we can use for good. He preaches a message of love and acceptance and unity. He doesn't hate others, judge others or teach others to do these things. But he's a rock star who occasionally will drop an f-bomb or enjoy a drink or two, so he can't be a Christian, right? This is how wrong we get it. The best examples are often criticized for not doing it right.

Americans? What part? North or South?

Christian is more of a justification than a way of being these days. The United States of America is not a very good example to the world at this time. We are not in our integrity and have not been for quite some time.

Christian simply means conscious or consciousness. We more un-conscious in this country at this point in our development.

Some are, it just depends on what religion they claim to be. I am not of a religion, but a born again Christian, a follower of Jesus. There are many religions however, that are false and they go to church on Sunday, but live like the devil the rest of the week. This is why I stay away from alot of religions and besides many of them have their "extras" which are not usually Biblical.

Most believe in God and maybe go to church on Christmas and Easter. The rest of the time, they do the best they can. Do they work on it? No. But some of the Christers are holier people that the ones who go every Sunday and are judgmental or turn people off by trying to save their soul. As to the nation. Overall, yes. We are good people. Laid back, but good.

Of course they do. Lamentably, it is the extreme minority of these Christians who act like complete monsters who get all the media attention, making it easier for the non-Christian community to generalize and think that the entire religion is represented in those few people.
