My guess is that you were over their heads, but then, I didn't see your question.
Actually, I do agree with you. I can't quite make out how they have twisted Daniel's prophecy to tack the seventieth week on at the very end of time. I just can't see how anyone got that....
I'll take it one step further, if you will allow me a moment. When God chose Abraham, He told him that through Isaac, all the nations of the earth would be blessed. In time, Israel became a nation, and brought Jesus into the world. God's chosen people have always been those who believed His promise, and looked forward to it's fulfillment. In a sense, His chosen people have always been Christians. That would include Job, who came from Ur, and who knew that his Redeemer lived, and who also knew that even though his body would die and go to dust, yet he would stand in his flesh and see God. How Christian is that?
If Jesus were going to snatch Christians out of danger, He is too late. Just ask the men and women all over the world who are, even as we speak, suffering horrible things for thier Christian faith. We in America have been God's spoiled children for a very long time, but unless we start standing up for our rights, and that soon, our grandchildren may find themselves huddling in a basement to worship.
Yes, I agree with you.

1) The Jews will always be God's chosen people. Unfortunately for them, they have already served the purpose God chose them for, and they now need to accept Jesus Christ in order to obtain salvation, just like everyone else.
2) The scriptures are clear in stating that the Church is the new Israel, a holy nation, and the new people of God.
3) It's unlikely that the Jews have absolutely no more role to play in the whole prophetic scheme of things, if only because many others believe that they do, and will act accordingly (particularly southern Evangelicals and Christian Zionists).
4) Any future Jerusalem temple would likely be a function of the antichrist, and a major part of the great deception.
5) No pre-trib rapture? Agreed!
6) Darby and Scofield took the literal interpretation of scripture, then exploited and expanded it to the level of absurdity.
This is what happens when people embrace popular heresy, fail to recognize it for what it is (radical untruth) and then attempt to refer to it, in polite terms, as something else entirely.

The Jews are God's chosen people. However, the New Testament reveals an entirely more profound definition of what a Jew really is. Jesus said many who claim to be Jews are not, and the apostle Paul, upon divine inspiration, wrote, "not all who are descended from Israel are Israel...In other words, it is not the natural children who are God’s children, but it is the children of the promise who are regarded as Abraham’s offspring." And of course, that promise, as you insinuate, comes only through Christ.
God Bless.

I think you are completely wrong. How does Jerusalem become the capital. How do the people return to their homeland? Why is the dead sea healed? Why does the bible mention the rapture? If your anti Jew and a Christian, then you have to accept the fact that the Jews are the holy people. If you are not, then you need to research further. I downloaded a video by Perry Stone called 25 unusual signs, it was very good, and explains a lot about how Israel is coming closer to the conditions explained in the Bible

Here is what I believe about the rapture theory, and those who believe in its existence. They say that people will rumor and spread the word of Christ being on Earth and this talk will spread like wildfire. Those who go to seek Him out will leave behind those they love to do so only to find out they have been deceived by Satan pretending to be Christ.
Here is what I was taught - that when these rumors begin to stay and continue my work whatever it is. Because as long as we ALL are still in the FLESH - Christ has yet to arrive. And He will do so BETWEEN the Heavens and Earth.

I cannot conceive how God would wait nearly 19 centuries to inspire someone to suddenly discover a new "truth" hidden in the Bible. It just shows that you see what you want to see.
I think the Jews are still as much "God's chosen people" as they ever were, although history suggests that is not necessarily an enviable position. (And I'm sure it has nothing to do with the modern nation of "Israel".)
The rest is just the efforts of selfish, impatient humans trying to manipulate God. Sadly.

I totally disagree with you, except for the statement that all who believe in Jesus Christ are His people now. But that fact does not negate the fact that the Jews are still God's chosen people. ( I don't use a Scofield Reference Bible as my reason for believing you are wrong.)

The Bible says that God divorced the Jews and replaced them with "spiritual Israel" because they were producing fruits of righteousness and natural Israel kept going after idols and finally, rejected God's son. So, even the Bible agrees with you. Why wouldn't I?

I also disagree , coz there are references in the letter of Apostle Paul to Romans that God has still not left the Israel nation.
