First of all, I'm not looking to score the Best Answer here, I just hope you read mine and save that bird!!! I am famous at my local Bird sanctuary, as I have brought in birds for years and I'm even on the mailing list! Ok, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!! Contact a bird sanctuary, SPCA, call an all-night bird clinic that might be so kind as to take it in-in the middle of the night. Chances are with a bird sanctuary, they will be closed late at night. This is the first option! The second option would be to find out when they open and take it immediately in the morning. Ok, as far as food is concerned: You have to be seriously careful on giving that bird too much water. Please do not take the others advice when they said to give it lots of water. If you gave it even more than a teaspoon, it could die from drowning!!! (I am serious!!) The most important thing you should do is keep it warm, put it in a secure box, closed in a room with the lights on so no one will disturb it. (Especially any family pets!) Keep the lights on for a couple of reasons. One, to keep as much warmth on that bird as possible. (Not too hot of course, you can put a lamp near it closeby.) Secondly, you want to keep that bird awake as much as you can. A lot of times, very sick birds will die in their sleep. Sometimes if you can keep it up somewhat, it can be a true fighter! Please put a cloth towel (that you don't mind getting ruined down and let that birdy cuddle in it. (Careful not to suffocate it.) As far as food, ideally baby bird food is best. (Mixed with water) But since you probably do not have that, I myself have taken a piece of bread and dilluted it with water (made it a little mushy, not too mushy, remember not too much water :-) Many birdies that I have rescued love that and do well when given that. I sure hope that bird is ok. (And I know this sounds nutty, but be very sweet to it and talk softly to it. It is most likely very frightened and just needs everything as quiet and soothing as possible. I hope this helps and you get it in time! Take care :-)

Maybe there's a wildlife rescue place in near you? Can you call the spca and see if they recommend anything? At the very least, just try to keep it warm and don't touch it too much -- it's not good for you or the bird!
Check out the link here for suggestions on how to care for a found baby bird.

We used to mix some baby bird cereal that we got from a pet store with human baby food fruit/vegetable (no meat) and eye dropper fed to the bird. Bird has to be fed frequently and kept warm. Check with a vet for how frequently to feed and what temperature. Also do some online searches for caring for baby birds.

i hand uncommon birds and the main suitable factor to do is take it in side wrap a towel around a warm water bottle and place it in a shoe field and placed the toddler chook in it then make up some weetbix merely mixture it with some heat water and attempt to get the chook to take slightly if it wont then attempt to open its beak gently if it doesnt consume it extremely is going to dye!!! additionally placed some drops of water on its beak so it runs into its mouth. yet dont stick it below a tree the two your cat or some one elses gets it and if it cant fly it cant pass back to the nest and the mum wont touch it now that your cat has. you're able to shop your cat interior so different animals dont get harmed!!

Hi -
sorry to tell you but if the bird fell out of its nest then maybe a cat caught it....
if it is only a baby.. you could put it in a shoe box just outside your door, but then the cats in the neighbourhood or other predators would get it....
maybe call SPCA?

Contact your local shelter to get info on local Wildlife rehabbers. Don't be disappointed if the bird doesn't make it. Chances are it probably wont.
