English is not the first language for some people asking questions. Everyone needs to be courteous when responding to their questions.

I do. There is a difference between people whose first language is not English and teens in the USA who don't pay attention in school, though. The students I had in the Peace Corps spoke at least two languages besides English; some spoke five. (Malay, Iban, Hokkien, Mandarin and English, for instance.) They knew how to capitalize.

People should be courteous but it probably would help if the person asking the question explains their language problem.

Some questions are asked by English speaking people that are very difficult to understand mostly because of the way it is phrased, not their use of the language.

Thank you for a reminder to be courteous though. We all need that

Ted, once again you've hit the nail squarely on the head.
