I don't know.
If I knew what the world would be like without organized religion, then maybe I could answer.
Who knows, maybe it's worse?
Maybe it's better?
But i agree organized religion has caused plenty of wars.

Well that's a statement that will not get very far because the world will not be without religion to begin with. It's a hypothetical question and is not going to impact the way the world is working. Much much much to say but religion isn't the root of wars. The people who follow the dark prince of this world who have no relationship with the Savior are the cause of these wars.

Study history.
Organized religion is not the source of most wars - it isn't even the source of a few wars. War is motivated by many factors, least of which is religion. We only think that religion is the source of war because 1) Wars take place between different factions, and most factions have many specific cultural characteristics, one which is usually a distinct religion. 2) Most people do not take the time to study the 'dry' parts of the history book, like economics, political views, conflicting philosophies, class structures, natural resources, etc. 3) Propagandists like to tout religion as a source of violence, and typically exploit the ignorance of their readers to get the point across.
The Crusades were not fueled by religion, the spread of Islam was not fueled by religion, the Spanish attacks in the new world were not fueled by religion... even the burning of heretics in the Inquisition were not fueled by religion (contrary to popular opinion). If you want to understand the causes of these conflicts, you have to actually pull out a big, fat history book written by a reputable scholar and study the factors involved.

i imagine that there must be extremely some advantages to having no faith, yet there must be extremely some downsides, too. first of all, i'm truly f*cking -ill- of human beings like Fred Phelps who take the Bible way too actually. They %. up particular words and -twist- it to their income, replacing the unique which potential. -all and sundry- who can wooden a funeral without feeling truly valueless is a terrible excuse of a man or woman--i do not care whose funeral it replaced into. it truly is between the pitfalls of religion--that they could validate hate using a message that replaced into meant to maintain and redeem. That stated, some human beings favor to trust in a extra physically powerful being/objective. some human beings favor to desire. Like someone stated, lets nonetheless discover causes to have wars--over stupid insignificant issues. faith is in basic terms the most proper hide. I, for one, am no longer positive what i trust on the instant. i trust like i'm a transcendentalist born contained in the incorrect century, and that i carry -morals- in additional beneficial esteem than any god. If extra human beings went alongside with what -they- felt replaced into proper, somewhat than what a e book, or some fanatic informed them, then the international can be a extra effectual position. MA: The Rolling Stones. i'm no longer too loopy about them, yet except "stay and enable Die," i'm no longer truly acquainted with Wings' paintings.

How did you do in World History Class? Most wars were/are land grabs. If religion was involved, it was usually just an excuse for the war.

Its the lack of religion that is causing these wars. True men and women of God do no do such things. A lot of stuff is done in God's name when it should be Lucifer who gets the credit..God is Love...not war and hate..but Lucifer has caused problems for man since Adam and Eve...just read the Bible..

No. The root of all wars are governments. Religions do not wage war. Peoples do not wage war. Governments wage war. Some wars are necessary some are not.

Yeah, I'd like to see some proof from that. You do realize that the worst atrocities were committed by secular atheist regimes, right?
Stalin, Pol Pot, etc.....
