I've been really intersted in this guy that I perform with in a choir here at the college I go to. The problem is that i really want to get to know him better, but there's not a whole lot around here to ask him to casually hang out or do something. How can I get to know him better one on one when there's nothing to do around my college?

Ask him to go for coffee. Ask him over for dinner. Make up an excuse about choir to get him over there with you. There are millions of excuses for things that you can get some alone time with him.

Ask him if to come over to your house to watch movies with friends. But if you want to be with him alone, ask him if you guys could go to the mall and just hang out. Eat lunch together. IM each other to keep in touch with him or text message him. Keeping in touch is nice when you're not together because you can like talk and stuff and because of that you'll be friends! Once you guys are friends, both of you are inseparable!

You already share one thing in common, you both go to college and both in the choir. You could strike up something with that. Just keep in mind to use questions that require a longer answer then, yep.

Try something like an opinion of your singing or something, its a way of saying you care about his opinions and allows him to open up.

You guys can create a screen name online and you can chat to him and ask any questions you want. Or during class or something, you can hang out when you both have gaps. I think the best way is just start talking to him. Sometimes when the subject is random, it creates more communication and interest. Give it a shot. Ask questions and don't forget to answer, so that he knows about you as well. =)

ask him to go tap dancing with you and then go to pick colors for drapes, if hes in the choir, hell go for that. im kidding, just ask him if he wants to hang out and talk, you dont have to go anywhere to hang out, just sit on one of the benches and chat for a while, then decide if you want to actually go out somewhere

make up something to do -- drive to the nearest place for milkshakes and get one with him, do whatever you'd want to do normally but ask him to participate, get people together for some movies and ask him to hang with you guys,

college is the only time it's as easy as it is to make up a reason to see if you like each other...

it only gets harder!

Ask him to study with or tutor you. You could ask him to help you practice singing. If he knows about the weight room or plays handball, ask him to show you. There might be colloquiums (?) that you can go to. I find it hard to believe that there isn't a coffee place to ask him to, because you "don't want to go alone". Good luck.

Come on, there's got to be a coffee shop or cafe or restaurant or burger joint somewhere around your college.

Or a cafeteria (for coffee).

Ask him to lunch or coffee.
