I think it's cool that US can export/promote Baseball to the Middle East I heard that the rules are mostly the same, but, if the score is the same after 7 innings, it'll go to a homerun contest...........that's cool!

I know several American Israelis that are excited about the IBL.
Its going to take a while (if ever) for the sport to catch on in the general population.
Personally I am looking forward to how they will do in the next world baseball classic.

Most Israelis have no idea that its happening, and if they do they're likely indifferent. As a baseball fan, it is unfortunate that the only two sports that carry any weight in Israel are Basketball and Football (Soccer).
