Morality can be very subjective. What may be completely normal to one society can be totally immoral to another. Often people look upon religion to draw the line. Ancient teachings and scriptures form a guideline. However it is imperative that when deciding on what is right or what is not, to fully understand the logic behind any philosophy that dictates on morality, religious or otherwise.
For instance, pre-marital sex is normal in the western society but considered a sin by almost all religions. Now neither is wrong in their belief here. The ancient founders of religions classified sex as a sin due to some logical factors. Pre-marital sex can lead to unwanted pregnancy ( contraceptives were not available back then ), sexually transmitted diseases, improper upbringing of children born out of pre-marital sex which will cause these children to grow up deprived of parental love and guidance. Sex is also a strong desire that can cause a person to undermine his/her religous duties. But taking into consideration the availibilty of contraceptive and the general knowledge of people today regarding sex and their ability to handle it as a part of life, the western culture of openess to sex is acceptable.
Looking at any matter from a logical and unbiased stand point will enable one to decide what is wrong and what is not. You do not need a preacher or a scripture to tell you that.

How I come to conclude? By experiencing constantly the thing that I believe and some day my heart concludes itself without my effort. It's natural process. It's like a baby and its mother.
One of the old definitions of morality, indeed, of all behaviour is: When you are alone, behave as if you are being watched by everybody else. When we don't wish to follow this principle, you find that we have several aspects of behaviour, one for ourselves, one in public, one at home, one in the office. And to mould our understanding of morality to such situations, we create individual morality, group morality, national morality, things like that. I don't think there is anything more than one morality. We have often come across people who say, well this is Indian morality, what about European morality? You see, it is as childish as saying we have Indian hunger and we have European hunger. So the first thing to be understood is that morality is one, applicable to all.
The second thing to be understood is that morality is free of the limitations of space and time. What I mean is that what is moral today cannot become immoral tomorrow, and what was immoral yesterday cannot become moral today. To put it briefly, we can say that morality is an absolute. I would like to say that wherever there is life, there must be morality.
Morality is nothing but efficient utilization of resources, whether it is money, whether it is food, whether it is sex. We don't spend money for pleasure - we shouldn't. If you do that you are a fool, because money is hard-earned. They say, "The fool and his money are soon parted." So when we come to celibacy, it is the same thought: that something which is potent, which is creative, should not be squandered.
Morality can also be defined as being fair to oneself in such a way that one can promote one's development to the highest.

I draw the line on "private morality' with the taking of innocent human life( and also peoples' 'taking the law into their own hands' by 'privately executing " those they consider as guilty of some great evil). I also believe that none should be forced to approve the behavior of another which the former would consider immoral.

Everyone should live by there own moral standards. As long as we do not effect the lives of others in a negative way or push our beliefs on others, each individual should be free to decide what's right and wrong for themselves.
To draw your own morality line, you need to feel, in your heart and soul, what is right and wrong for you. If you do not feel it and you let others influence your personal moral standards, then you may be doomed to live an unfulfilling life.

Truth is only one... it cannot have two parameters. Traveling the path of absolute truthfulness... I never had any problem related to morality in life. When we are truthful in life... our soul atman within guides us in the journey of life. The sweet small inner voice of our soul atman is so distinctly clear that whenever we tend to go wrong... pursue a wrong path... the voice of our soul atman differentiates right from wrong.
There have been instances in my life when during public discourses I emphasized on the fact that, the total population of my country (1000 million people) on one side... still, I am not willing to go along as I thought it was wrong. Prompted by the firmness of the voice of my soul atman... I could always choose right from wrong. In the initial stages of my life when I was not that truthful, I may have definitely erred in my decisions. But as I neared the end goal of my life... my convictions... my faith grew stronger.
We do not get a second chance in life. In the first instance itself we have to take the right decision. Firming up our resolve is of utmost importance. We have to have logic behind every decision. The absolute faith I had in Almighty God always came to my rescue. It was as if God Almighty standing beside me was guiding me on the right path.
Logistics play a vital role in making the right decisions. Whatever be the decision... it should be logically explainable. In absence of the logic... we simply cannot satisfy those on the other side of the table. There has to be a proper reasoning for everything. In the system of God nothing is disordered at any stage as has been mentioned by Stephen Hawking in his famous book, "a brief history of time". The assumption of Stephen Hawking is flawed. His ignorance in matters spiritual is beyond doubt. More on truth - http://www.godrealized.org/truce_with_my_inner_self.html

God has revealed his moral laws to all mankind. Do as Isaiah the prophet told the sons of Israel. Read the book of the Lord. Jesus in the Gospels made it very clear concerning Gods moral laws. Try your very best to follow them. And remember this "If you continue to Break Gods Laws, Gods Laws will break you. Read about them who did and what happened to them. His Book is not about "Lets make a deal, This is the Deal."

"possibly you are the only with none morals" - Yup that's actual surprising. "No, this is an entire false impression. Did your preacher make it easier to recognize those products? i don't "reject" your Christian god because of the fact i don't pick to do what he needs (in accordance to the bible besides), that is because of the fact the lack of ability of information makes him as genuine to me as Shiva and Ra are to you. are you able to understand that? As for obeying regulations, you're making your self sound like a psychopath who basically behaves because of the fact she believes a god will reward/punish her with that argument yet this is your determination." - damn top!! I consider the two those comments and that i don't think of they are insulting, not greater insulting than you're being. The bible isn't the only source of morality. hi?! that is approximately understanding the version between top and incorrect. can not you think of for your self? Do you incredibly pick a e book to make it easier to recognize that's it is not okay to homicide? incredibly? You look the only with the negativity right here.

I study to show myself approved by God, the Lord Jesus Christ and what I study is the Bible and writings of people who are gifted with wisdom about how to apply the Word of God to my life.
I don't want to patronize you or anyone, but this word "morality" isn't really clear to me.
I think when people use this word, they mean how to live in the world with other people without causing harm to themselves and/or others; not breaking legal boundaries or offending their neighbors. I think it's like this but maybe more precise??
Anyway, I am a follower of Jesus as King and Lord, which means I want to 'do it like He did it', think as He thought and BE a person that is more than 'moral', to BE the definition of a child of God, reflecting His love and other attributes. I personally believe that under the right circumstances, we ALL are capable of any attrocities against our fellowman in our natural mind and heart. I believe it takes a true 'change of heart' through the supernatural experience of being born-again, by the Word of God, then we have help beyond 'natural' means to BE all God desires us to be and to accomplish our eternal purpose. Morality isn't about following rules of niceness. Morality to me is when my heart is like God's heart.., filled with love for my neighbor same as for myself. I guess I think morality is sort of a by-product of a born-again heart that is growing, maturing and partnering with God so He can love the world through that person... and accomplish GREAT and MARVELOUS things!
