I'm like you, I like non-human names for my pets!
I try to find a name that is descriptive of both the pet's personality and her appearance. For example, I had a gorgeous orange cat with a very open and bright personality. I named her Sunny and it fit her so well!
Choosing a name can take some time. I usually find my names in the dictionary or thesaurus -- I pick a word that describes my pet and then look up other words that might be appropriate for a name.
In order to help you pick a name, I'd have to know a LOT more about her -- but names are so important, you probably want to choose a name for her yourself. Just take your time and I'm sure you will come up with something.
Names I've used: Cozy, Happy, Bingo, Bizzy, Snippet, Kissy, Tippy, Pepper, Jazzy and Whisper.

That would be much easier answered with a picture. Is it a big dog, small dog, fluffy, slick, fast, slow, there are so many characteristics in dogs that I like to name them a name that fits. Sometimes it takes me a couple of weeks before I name a new pet.

What kind of DOG is it.... and what color is it...
My dog is a wheaten (used to have a black mustache type beard, now its growing out) so we named his GUIDO!
I like funny names. I hate human names for pets also.
I have a bird names HERCULES too...
If its a SMALL dog, name it something strong! nothing like brownie or cupcake...
If its a BIG dog, give her a bold name, not BETSY or SUGAR....

Indi - I called my female pup that cos she was a little miss independent puppy always doing whatever she wanted, and getting herself into trouble.
