I am an executive . Many times I get under a lot of pressure at work which causes stress and anxiety. I sometimes become impatient and lose my "togetherness". all nerved up. Know what I mean!?? I take pride in my work and don't like getting behind and losing my concentration. Is their something I can do to "calm down?

Stop frightening yourself.

Learn to prioritize your tasks.
Ask for help and support as needed.
Learn to clear your mind and worry less.
Recognize your limitations and then work with them.

(Addressing our greed is also one way to reduce stress and anxiety.)

The best stress reliever I've experienced is developing good relationships with those you work around, and engaging in some kind of excercise/competition with co-workers. I am a securities broker and the pressure can be almost overwhelming at times, but I can always count on a buddy to crack me up. I am also lucky to have had a ping pong table in my office and whenever we'd play I'd feel 100% better.

Take a bit of a break and do something that you like to do. Maybe you enjoy watching funny videos on the net or walking. If it is not as easy as those then maybe go out and get a bite to eat. Hopefully you will come back relaxed and ready to go. Best of luck!

Find one thing (not person) and find the humor in it. Having something humorous to chuckle over at work can go miles toward keeping yourself together.
