People with Lupus often have more infections than "normal folks"and require more treatment with antibiotics over longer periods in some cases. There are so many different antibiotics that it depends on what the specific probelm is. However sulfa and tetracycline type antibiotics are known to cause negative reactions in Lupus sufferers. Seek a rheumatologist AND never assume that all doctors undertsand lupus, it is somewhat baffling and many don't realize what a complex disease it is.

You should consult with your doctor on this one. I don't think the issue is which antibiotic works best if you have lupus but rather which one wouldn't interact badly with medications you might be taking to treat lupus.

I do not know the answer to your question but i have some help. I know that antiobiotics are very bad for you.You need the good biotics in your body, when you take ant-biotic it kills the good biotics and the bad biotics. But if you need the anti-biodic i suggest you take a probiotic with it( you can find it at any drug store) Also eating one clove of garlic a day or oderless garlic capsuls would probaly help you out. Mold is the cuase of almost every sickness, illnes, and disease known to man so to help with your problemstay away from sugar, yeast, peanuts, cheese, and aspartame(usualy in sugar free Gum,deit coke stuff like that) Stick with Garlic, brocceli, carrots,Lemons(they realy help your body stay alcaline.
