Does Capitol letters on here mean I am yelling?

Question

I see some people to day are talking about people yelling with their answers...and I see some people using Capitol letters and are told to Stop yelling.

I us capitol letter on here for 2 reasons

1. that is to make a point

and also

2. Because there is no letter sizing on here and I can not always see so well..

My question: is using capitol letter here considered yelling.

By the way I tried not to use capitols in this question.

I stand corrected and apoligize if any one reading this has been offened and thought that I was shouting in other answers or questions.

Only had internet a couple of years but only for emails to friends and Ministry back in the States.

Been on here (RS) for about 2 weeks this is my first time talking outside the email...

So again, I did not know the rules and I am sorry.

Yes. Typing your Q&A in all caps is considered "shouting", and is very bad "nettiquitte" (net ettiquette).

In the electrical typing world, size matters. It isn't just how you use it!

If you are having trouble viewing the contents of your screen, why not change the size of your web page? Go to the top of your screen, and click on the toolbar "View". You should get a drop-down list, with the word "Text Size" as an option. Click on "Text Size" to get another drop down list, and then click on the word "Largest". It will make your screen easier to read (larger everything), though you will have to scroll back and forth a lot to read it all.

it has been common knowlege for years that all caps means yelling. there are examples, a word or phrase all-caps-ed is reasonable emphasis, and normal grammar is fine,... just when you have a whole post or something in nothing but capital letters.... thats yelling.

for #2... hold ctrl and roll your mouse wheel. some sites this does not work, but many it scales the text. this can be done manually, at least in IE, by going to view, then text size, you can scale the language larger or smaller.

I sometimes capitalize the letters of ONE or TWO words in a sentence to add emphasis since there is no way to italicize or underline words here. It is considered yelling if you write an ENTIRE sentence in all caps, though.

Using "All Caps" has been shouting since messages became common on the Internet. There's got to be a copy of "Netiquette" somewhere in my collections. You might want to do a google on it.

If human beings get mad over nonsense whay do they do while some thing mportant comes uo flow berzerk maximum persons reading this assertion will positioned it excellent as they examine it. this is computerized. somebody put in their heads this is shouting. recover from IT. I do the same thing, which offends some but the only thing left is using stars, dashes, slashes which make the answer look messy. Doesn't mean I am yelling either........which I am NOT....

if you use caps on every letter=shouting, but if you just capitalize names, first letters, the letter I, when used alone..
its called good grammar.
